Use N1 as a JPEG viewer or JPG viewer for ordinary photo folders, with JPEG / JFIF and JPEG XR / WDP handled alongside PNG, WebP, TIFF / TIF, BMP and GIF.
Everyday image formats
JPEG / JFIF, JPEG XR / WDP, PNG, WebP, TIFF / TIF, BMP and GIF are supported alongside newer and professional formats.
HEIC, AVIF and JPEG XL
N1 supports HEIC / HEIF and AVIF through supported Windows imaging paths, and JPEG XL through the Microsoft JPEG XL Image Extension / WIC where available. Supported HDR AVIF and HDR JPEG XL content can enter the wider HDR presentation pipeline when their decode paths and metadata allow it.
N1 also handles PSD, TIFF / TIF, WebP and JPEG XR / WDP files, so working folders can mix source images, exports and web-ready files without forcing you into a separate viewer for each format.

Camera RAW viewer
Supported RAW formats include DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, ORF and RW2. RAW files use the same Filmstrip, Gallery, comparison and culling workflow as other images.
OpenEXR and Radiance HDR
OpenEXR support covers common single-part HALF / FLOAT RGB, RGBA and grayscale images with supported scanline/tiled layouts and common compression modes. Radiance HDR uses native RGBE / XYZE decoding with supported orientations and primaries converted into the linear scRGB pipeline.
PSD and mixed-format folders
PSD files can sit alongside JPEG, PNG, RAW and modern compressed formats in the same local folder browser. This is useful for working directories that contain source images, selects and exports together.
